The Approach

My approach to this website was to create a strong and cohesive brand identity that communicates professionalism, trust, and technical expertise. I chose a deep navy and teal gradient as the primary colour palette to reflect stability and reliability, while introducing contrasting orange accents to draw attention to key interactive elements such as calls to action and navigation as well as aligning to the newly branded logo colours.

In terms of layout, I focused on maintaining a clean, structured design with a clear visual hierarchy using bold headings to immediately communicate purpose and organising supporting content into easily digestible sections through consistent spacing and iconography. I also ensured alignment and consistency across all pages to reinforce a sense of order and dependability in the design. To balance the corporate aesthetic, I incorporated human elements like team imagery to add warmth and approachability.

The Challenges & Results

One of the key challenges I faced during this brief was balancing a highly professional, corporate aesthetic with a design that still felt approachable and engaging for users. As the website serves both employers and candidates, I needed to ensure the interface didn’t feel too cold or overly technical, while still maintaining credibility within the tech and recruitment space. This influenced my decision to introduce subtle human elements, such as team imagery, alongside a structured and minimal layout.

Aswell, working within a limited colour palette required careful consideration to maintain visual interest while staying consistent with the brand. The use of contrasting orange accents became essential in guiding user attention and improving usability without disrupting the overall tone of the site.

Overall, as a result of these design decisions, the final outcome is a clean, cohesive, and user-friendly interface that effectively communicates the brand’s values. The site supports easy navigation and clear user pathways, helping both employers and candidates quickly find what they need. The balance between professionalism and approachability enhances user trust, while the consistent visual language strengthens brand recognition and creates a more engaging overall experience.
